Rev. Thomas Chan was born and raised in a traditional Chinese family in Hong Kong. Although he received all his pre-university education in a Christian school, he remained a practical atheist until he began his study in Montreal in 1973. Being confronted by some zealous Christians in the campus, Pastor Chan was introduced to the Christ of the Bible instead of the guru of the textbook. After conversion, dedication and graduation, he received his theological training in the Canadian Theological Seminary in Regina. Upon graduation in 1980, he was called to serve in the Montreal Chinese Alliance Church until today. In 1990, Rev. Chan and his family took a year of Sabbatical to rest and to study in London, UK. Last year, Rev. Chan was privileged to have a 2 month missionary exposure in South America. Rev. Chan is happily married to Cindy with two teenage boys, Amos and Micah. Rev. Chan loves to watch the stars, to work with computers and to read.
